UNLEASH THE DIFFERENCE
“Ping” is a practical blueprint for building strong and productive relationships with people who are different to you.
It is based around 3 main questions and 8 sub-questions. Start
“Ping” is drawn from the commercial relationships between the world’s two largest – and most different – economies, but it provides a pathway through any cultural divide – between departments in a corporation, between faith communities, between our past and our future.
Two applications are:
1. FACING THE FUTURE WITHOUT FEAR
The world has changed. Change is the new normal. As a result, no-one knows what the future will look like – only that it will be different. So how do we find our place in a changing world?
The West is losing the influence, security and identity it has grown accustomed to. We are discovering again that we are not invincible, independent or eternal. And that is scary.
Meanwhile, China is going to the moon – literally. When they get there, will there still be a place for us? How are we to respond to those who, like China, seem to be “getting ahead”?
These questions affect us not just at a national level, but also at a corporate and personal level too. Is there a way to face an uncertain future with confidence and without fear?
“Ping” draws insight from decades of engagement with humanity’s most enduring civilization, to unlock new worlds of possibility with one simple switch.
2. DOING BUSINESS WITH CHINA
Over the past decade, increasing numbers of Western businesses have expanded into China.
80% of them fail and are left wondering why: they are generally well established, well-resourced, and experienced in entering new markets.
The 20% who survive are wondering how to sustain their presence in a constantly changing environment.
The rest who stayed out of China are now finding that China is coming to them – as an investor, acquirer or partner.
“Ping” helps all three of these communities to engage with China with confidence.
